A story of God’s faithfulness with the Kennedy family in Brazil

  • Who/ What

“Fé” is a documentary focused on IMB missionaries, Andy & Cindy Kennedy. This is their faith story. Andy, a successful Army captain & attack helicopter pilot, was called as a missionary into the Amazon. This is a story of a missionary family who laid everything on the line for the advancement of the gospel. This documentary will account for the work that they faithfully accomplished over their 25 years of service. Along with Andy & Cindy, we will hear testimonies from natives of Brazil as well as the Kennedy children reminiscing about their time on the mission field.

  • When/ Where

This story takes place in the heart of the Amazon, in villages that are secluded from the general population in Brazil. We are scheduled to fly to Brazil on May 23 for a week of filming with the locals. Currently, we are going with a stripped-down crew and minimal equipment. As funds come in, we hope to gain assistance from local filmmakers. Although the Amazon is the main focus of this story, we will also be setting up interviews in Huntsville, Alabama, as the origins of this story began in the Yellowhammer State.

  • Why

"Fé" will uncover the ups and downs, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually, in the life of a missionary family. Our goal is to connect with anyone who has a faith story and encourage viewers to walk steadily in their faith "day by day," in order to see God's beautiful plan for their lives. Stories like this must be told, and we are using the medium of filmmaking to convey a narrative that simple words cannot express alone. Additionally, the film will feature original music, adding flavor and providing more opportunities for different creative elements.

How?

We are in need of your support. As a passion project, the director, Aaron Davis, is dedicated to sharing an inspiring story of God's faithfulness. Unfortunately, missionaries and young artists often lack the financial resources and time to tell such stories on their own. To secure our initial funding, we have partnered with Black Forest Academy & Teach Beyond, who are promoting their wonderful boarding school in Germany. This partnership enables us to obtain the necessary funds to travel to Brazil for filming. However, we still require your support to help produce, edit, and market this story.

Vision Trailer

The video provided is a "very rough" vision trailer. Minimal picture and sound editing were done as the purpose of including interviews and old footage is to convey the vision for our desired project. The main goal is to engage and inspire those who wish to support us. The music, b-roll, and drone shots are stock video content that will be replaced with authentic and original footage filmed specifically for the documentary. The interviews included in the trailer were mock-ups and will be replaced with professionally conducted interviews in a suitable setting.
