Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up

This book teaches a valuable lessons in a fun and relatable way. Recently, I came across a book called "Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up" that I think is a must-read for every family.

The story follows a young boy named Arlo who accidentally draws on his wall during quiet time. Instead of owning up to it, Arlo tries desperately to cover it up, even going so far as to hide under his bed when he hears his mom coming. Of course, his mom quickly discovers what happened and has an important conversation with Arlo about his actions.

What I love most about this book is how it tackles the topic of sin and forgiveness in a way that young kids can understand. Arlo knows he's done something wrong, just like we all do at times. But his mom responds with grace and compassion, explaining that when we try to hide our mistakes, it only makes us unhappy. Instead, we need to be honest and let God's forgiveness wash over us.

The biblical principles woven throughout the story are so valuable. The book includes the verse from Proverbs 28:13, which says "Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy."

Ultimately, "Arlo and the Great Big Cover-Up" is a delightful read that tackles this relatable topic in a sensitive, age-appropriate way. I highly recommend it to any parents looking to instill the importance of honesty and forgiveness in their little ones.
