Litte Lives Matter

This charming story in the Brave Books series follows the journey of a young bear cub named Moby, who was born with only one front paw. Despite the challenges he faces, Moby's devoted mother is unwavering in her love and care. Even when a judgmental vulture tries to convince her to abandon her "weak" cub, the mother bear fiercely protects her son, declaring, "My life may be hard, but my son's still my son and it’s his life not mine that means most to me.”

As Moby grows up, he faces more obstacles due to his physical difference, but with his mother's support, he becomes stronger and more resilient. Eventually, the roles reverse, and Moby is the one caring for his aging mother – a powerful testament to the sanctity of life and the enduring bond between parent and child.

What I love most about this book is the way it covers the serious issue of the value of every life, even those that may seem "imperfect" or "burdensome," in a simple, accessible way. The story's animal characters make it engaging for young readers, while the underlying message resonates with parents and children alike.

The Brave Books series has quickly become  a staple in our household, and "Little Lives Matter" is a standout addition. I highly recommend checking out Brave Books.com to explore their full collection and see how you can incorporate these meaningful stories into your family's library.
