The Biggest Story

As a mom of two young kids, I'm always on the lookout for great resources to help introduce them to the Bible in an engaging and age-appropriate way. That's why I was so excited to discover "The Biggest Story" by Kevin DeYoung, illustrated by the talented Don Clark.

This beautifully-illustrated (short) chapter book condenses the entire biblical narrative into a captivating story for children. Starting with creation and the fall, it takes young readers on a journey through key events and figures, from Cain and Abel, to Noah, the Israelites, and ultimately the coming of the Messiah.

What I love most about this book is how it manages to tackle weighty theological concepts in a way that is both accessible and enchanting for little ones. DeYoung writes in such a way that feels conversational, which helps little ears stay attentive and engaged. The chapters are short and easy to digest, with stunning visuals that bring the story to life. My 4-year-old son is absolutely enthralled by the vibrant illustrations!

"The Biggest Story" would be exceptional as a devotional, easy to pick up and read a chapter each night before bed. It's the perfect way to instill a love of God's Word in our children while fostering meaningful discussions about faith, obedience, and the redemptive work of Jesus.
